Heritage and sentimental mode

Thanks to the Heritage Day (24 September). Friends, neighbours and homegirls gathered in Greenvillage on a sentimental mode to remember where they come from. “We are far away from Limpopo, and live in different parts of Soweto. So, we decided to contribute some money for food, and gather here at Greenvillage to sing and dance to our music,” says the organiser Zwannda Mushanganyisi.  They are Vendas and Tsongas. They are easily identifiable by their colourful clothes that separate them from the rest: minwenda, misisi, malungu, makunda and swibelani. Also the up-tempo music.
